Earclip Cleaning

I have the newer version of the earclips that are used with the SCS CES and have noticed lately they are getting dirty/rusty. Is this normal, does it degrade the system's performance? Is there a recommended cleaning method or is it time to reorder? Thank you!

This discolor is stain not rust, but caused by a combination of current, solution, body oils and sweat. Using a citrus cleaner will remove any residue and then clean with alcohol before applying the ear clip electrode pads. Current flow is easily maintained through metal so system performance is not affected by discoloration.
