    Bruises and burns

I've had my Alpha-Stim for a few years, now.  I have successfully used it to treat pain, anxiety, depression, and fibromyalgia.  One day when I burned my thumb while cooking, I treated initially with cold water to stop the burn, and then rushed to my Alpha-Stim unit.  Four minutes of treating the burn locally, and I could not find it.  There was no pain.  There was no sign of redness or blistering.  I forgot about it until a few days later, when the burned skin sloughed off.

I am fairly clumsy, frequently bonking my knee or shin on something.  One morning I got up and crashed into a clothes hamper near my bed.  By the time I sat down to look at it, the bruise was well under way, blue and bright pink.  By using the Alpha-Stim, I literally "chased" the bruise back into itself.  It eliminated the pain AND the bruising, within a few minutes.  The next day, while there was skin abraided away, there was no other sign of the impact.

In my opinion, Alpha-Stim should be used by EMTs and in trauma centers as an immediate treatment for such injuries.  Granted, the injuries I referred to are not emergency room level traumas, but I would be interested to know if anyone has used the unit for more traumatic injuries....

Thanks again for this miraculous machine!!!

    Hi Joellen,

I am wondering how the Alpha-Stim can be used to treat fibromyalgia?  I am interested in trying it out but with fibro I have body-wide pain and so I have no idea where I would put the pads in order to help me with my pain.

Can anyone give me more info on using this for fibro pain?

    Hi Anna,

I have had good luck with using the earclips for FM.  It seems to be good for the overall type of pain, as well as the depression that I have experienced along with the pain.  About an hour a day is quite useful, but you could use it for an hour 2-3 times a day if you find that helps.  I know that even on the days I ache all over, I can still identify spots that hurt worse than others.  So you can use the pads on either side of the worst areas like the protocols explain, or you can use the wands.  I use the wands instead of the pads because I'm allergic to adhesives, and I get good results.  I know they can be hard to use on certain areas, and can be difficult if you are working on one hand or another. Wedging the bottom of one wand into the crack between the couch cushions or between your knee and a chair arm can stabilize it so you can manipulate the other wand with the hand not being treated.  Then just move the hand you are treating and the free wand to achieve different angles.  Or if you know someone willing to help, you can direct them how to use the machine.  Best of luck with this, also...omega 3 fish oils have been very, very good for my fibromyalgia and mood.
