My name is Katjia Bagnell and I’m an American Veteran of foreign and American wars. I was injured and I have been in pain from the top of my head to the bottom of my toes. For several years, I’ve been in and out of wheelchairs and walkers.
I have severe bilateral damage to my SI joints, hips, and pelvic region. I have cervical, shoulder, and cranial damage, and traumatic brain injury. I have seizures. I have fatigue, depression, panic disorder, and anxiety disorder.
I have pain constantly – 24/7.
At 49 years old, I went to my doctor. It was either put a bullet in my head or go on pain medication after refusing it for a very long time. And I told her I wanted to go on pain medication.
